Thank you for your interest in South Wolds' Sixth Form. We are a small Post-16 centre offering an
academic curriculum of around 26 different                          A level subjects including an Arts Pathway. We are
small in size but big in terms of the opportunities, experiences and personal support that we offer to
our students!

As a Post-16 staff team we feel very privileged and proud to be working with students at this key
stage of their education and supporting them on their journey through A level study on to university
or the world of work. We have many years of proven success, proven experience and, unlike some
other providers of Post-16 education, we have a strong network of support that continues
throughout A Level study. These three ingredients are key to the success of our 6th form students.

Our success is proven in the outstanding results that our students achieve year upon year. For the
past 5 years we have shown the highest progression from GCSE to A Level of any EMET Post-16
centre and despite a downturn nationally in the number of students achieving the highest grades
have sustained high levels of attainment with an increase in the percentage of top grades with
continued 100% pass rates. When OfSTED visited us in 2019 the Sixth Form was cited as continuing to be a significant strength of the school with 'dedicated learners' who 'want to achieve their best'.

Outstanding achievement is by no means our only priority. Just as important is that students feel
safe, happy and looked after while they are studying with us. We have a team of 10 very
experienced personal tutors who mentor the students on a one-to-one basis, supporting them both
academically and personally. Additionally, small class sizes mean that subject teachers get to know
their students, their needs and their potential very well. It’s a team effort!
